Yesterday we picked Columbus, MS as the lunch spot and discovered it is home to 100 antebellum homes. We took a break to tour the Blewett-Harrison-Lee Museum mansion before heading west.
We listened to the blues on the satellite radio as we approached the Mississippi River to get us in the mood as we headed into Arkansas.
We are now in Sherman, Texas after traveling through AK today. We enjoyed camping at the Pecan Grove RV Park in Lake Village AK last night. The pecan farm is now a campground with 100 year old pecan trees shading the sites. Although it was hot, we managed with the AC on for 15 minutes to cool things off enough for sleeping.
US 82 travels through rice fields, catfish farms, tree farms and now to ranching country. We listened to classic country on the satellite radio all day.
We discovered Dickey's Barbecue Pit has a free wireless hot spot so we took advantage to check email and do this post.
