Fort Ransom, ND is a very small town with a well established Fourth of July Rodeo. We attended the July PM session. They have barrel racing for the younger kids, adults, bare back and saddle bronc busting, steer riding, goat tying for the younger set and scoop shovel races. The weather was perfect and the bugs stayed away. Western wear and sports are well established even in eastern North Dakota. You can feel very comfortable in boots, jeans, big belts and cowboy hats here. After every event, the winner rode around the arena behind the rodeo queen.
