On the Road to San Antonio

It's spring so it's time for a road trip before it gets too hot. We are off to visit relatives in San Antonio by way of the Florida panhandle through Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and Texas.

The second night on the road took us to Topsail Hill Preserve State Park. It is more like a fancy big rig resort than state park because of the cement parking pads and amenities. Topsail Hill Preserve State Park/Gregory E. Moore RV Resort has the highest rating possible from Trailer Life & Woodalls, placing the resort in the top 1% of the nation. The park has 3 ½ miles of pristine white quartz sandy beach with over 1,643 acres of unique habitats, including coastal dune lakes, cypress domes, and wet prairies.
